Memory – truth & fable 11th – 26th Nov
Exhibiting together for the first time, the resident studio artists at the Old Parcels Office respond to the theme “Memory – truth & fable”, in an exhibition that showcases the wide range of art practices housed under the OPO roof. From ceramics, drawing, painting, textiles, photographic based work and installation, each artist has responded to the theme in their own unique style, with a mix of recent and newly created work.

When The Entertainers Came To Town – Heritage Exhibition 8th – 17th Sept
‘When The Entertainers Came To Town’ celebrates the history of entertainment in Scarborough. Display panels featuring maps, postcards, and memorabilia chart the growth of music halls, dance halls, theatres and cinemas following the towns rapid expansion as a holiday destination following the arrival of the railway.

Leeds Fine Artists 8th – 23rd July
In July the Old Parcels Office is hosting a group exhibition by Leeds Fine Artists. The group was first established in 1874, which makes it one of the oldest regional arts bodies in the UK. It now attracts artists from across Yorkshire.

Soul of Fire Jade de Montserrat 27 May to 11 June

When the Railway Came to Town 8-18 Sept
When the Railway Came to Town celebrates the growth of Scarborough as seaside resort from the arrival of the first steam trains in 1845 to 1945 through a collection of historical maps, postcards, memorabilia and selected pieces of contemporary art. This exhibition coincides with National Heritage week. 8th – 18th September. Admission Free
