Creative Gender Identity Workshop 13 August
We are hosting a Creative Gender Identity Workshop on Saturday 13th August at the Old Parcels Office at Scarborough Railway Station. Come and explore with us the differences between gender and sex, examples of how to use gender-inclusive language, and how to make spaces more welcoming and safe for trans and non-binary people. The Blow-ins 9 July

When the Railway Came to Town 8-18 Sept
When the Railway Came to Town celebrates the growth of Scarborough as seaside resort from the arrival of the first steam trains in 1845 to 1945 through a collection of historical maps, postcards, memorabilia and selected pieces of contemporary art. This exhibition coincides with National Heritage week. 8th – 18th September. Admission Free

An Evening with Nathan Bell 20th Sept 2022
Welcome return to Scarborough for one of the best singer songwriters and guitarists around. Award winning performing songwriter, Nathan Bell, the subject of a 2020 Documentary short film “I Don’t Do This For Love” was a best-of selection for Americana UK in 2016, 2017, and 2018 including Best Male Artist of 2017. Jeffery Straker & Malcolm MacWatt 4th Nov 2022
Singer-songwriter pianist Jeffery Straker grew up taking piano lessons in a small farming town on the Canadian prairies, and has gone on to perform over 100 shows per year across Canada, Europe and Latin America. His music sits at the intersection of contemporary singer-songwriter, folk and roots genres with critical comparisons being drawn to the likes of Harry Chapin, Kris Kristofferson, & Billy Joel. Big Ideas By The Sea is a new festival that started in Scarborough in 2021. This annual festival will bring leading speakers, thinkers, and creative people from science, the arts, business, technology and the environment to debate the Big Ideas that concern all of us.

POP-UP DRAWING
Join us at The Old Parcels Office for this four-week drawing workshop, whether you’re a student with any level of previous experience, wanting to improve your drawing skills, build a portfolio, or if you’re a beginner and would just like to start drawing. With a focus on building a drawing through observation, these four-week courses, led by Sally Gatie, are a great way to experience drawing in a positive, supportive, and friendly atmosphere.
