Hire the Shakespeare Gallery for a group or solo show in 2026
The Shakespeare Gallery is available to hire periods of 1 to 4 weeks.
The gallery, which was once a pub, is on St Helens Square opposite Scarborough Market Hall, in the heart of Scarborough’s emerging artists quarter. It is a DIY space with artists responsible for setting up the space and looking after it during opening times. With its own hanging system installed, this gallery works well for group exhibitions and also offers enough space to run workshops.
Hire periods are from Tuesday – Monday. This enables artists to set up on Tuesdays and open Wednesday – Sunday, leaving Monday to clear up and hand back the key.
The winter rate, January to March and Oct to December is £100 a week.
The summer rate, April to September is £150 a week.
