OPO OPEN Exhibition  2026

The OPO Open, the annual open exhibition organised by the Old Parcels Office Artspace opens on Saturday 14th February 2026

Now in its 5th year the OPO ‘Open Call’  attracted a record number of entries of work by artists from across the country. Out of almost 700 submissions, 100 have been chosen by the selectors for inclusion in the show.

This year’s selectors are:

Dr Kerry Harker – Curator and researcher based in Leeds. Exhibitions include Harewood House (Leeds), Impressions Gallery (Bradford), The Hepworth (Wakefield) and Saatchi Gallery (London).

Gordon Dalton – International artist based in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University, and member of Contemporary British Painting.

Sally Gorham – Curator and Chair of Scarborough Studios CIO, the arts charity that runs the OPO.

As always the selection of the works for the show proved a real challenge for the three selectors due to the sheer diversity and originality of the artworks submitted. In keeping with the aims of the OPO, the final selection showcases an exciting range of innovative art across diverse media, including paintings, prints, photography, sculptures, ceramics and textile works.
