Exhibitions at the Old Parcels Office ArtSpace

Prized – features work by six early-career artists selected from Open Artspace 2022, the first open exhibition held at the Old Parcels Office.
The artists were shortlisted by the selectors for the Yorkshire Coast Destination Business Improvement District (Yorkshire Coast Dbid) Prize.
The selected artists are: Marc Appleton, Christy Burdock, Wendy Galloway, Ellie Hawkes, Zack Thorne, Anna Turner.
The OPO ‘Open Call’ attracted over 350 entries from over 140 artists spread across the UK. Works by 44 of the artists were selected by the panel of experts for the exhibition. In keeping with the aims of the Old Parcels Office, the selected works showcase an exciting, eclectic cross section of contemporary art. The panel included Paula MacArthur, an artist and tutor at the Royal College of Art, Tom Wood who has a distinguished career as an artist with work in some of the country’s top collections and Sally Gorham, Chair of Scarborough Studios, which runs the Old Parcels Office.
