“The exhibition Time and Space by Paul Digby and Ian McMillan demonstrates how images, text and the spoken word can combine powerfully to evoke the lived experience of place. Digby’s densley woven lines coalesce like freshly formed memories, presenting half forgotten glimpses of places and times we might perhaps not wish to remember. Yet there is also a profound beauty in their darkness which recognises the sublime in the familiar. There is a sense of time slowing as sunlight plays across surface, illuminating chairs in an empty waiting room and revealing the undulating landscapes of medical gowns. McMillans prose and enthralling delivery, weave seamlessly into these scenes adding a heartbeat to the narratives, forging a connecting to a moment we can all relate to.”
