We have a private, first floor studio for artists available, for sole or shared use. It’s located in the Scarborough Town Centre and forms part of the High Street Creative Hubs project from Scarborough Studios CIO, the organisation behind the Old Parcels Office Artspace.
With Scarborough Fair’s Scarborough Art potentially throwing focus on the town’s grass roots artists over the next 9 months, this is an ideal opportunity to grow or build your arts practice with a base.
The dimensions are approx. 4.2M x 3.1M (13′ 9″ x 10′ 3″). There’s an abundance of power sockets, a heater and an opening window. The studio is individually lockable, and the building is protected by a burglar alarm and a monitored fire alarm.
A local artist is established on the ground floor, using the shop as both a retail space and a workspace.
The upstairs studio is available immediately. The monthly fee, which includes light, heat, power and fibre-based internet is £170 per month, £39.23 per week or £510 per quarter on a ‘license to use’ basis (not a lease). You will not have to pay any business rates.
A license would normally run for 12 months but you can terminate at any point giving a month’s notice.
